Reflections on reflectioning

Reflecting on my first Skype discussion on this course. With new people like myself and module 2 & 3 students on this Professional practice course. It has come to light that reflecting is a key to being professional. Reflecting is looking back. Looking back at yourself and seeing what you have done. What you have become. When looking back you can see your journey. And how you do things and why. Looking at things from different angles and how you use different things. Self anlysis can be a tricky thing. Sometimes we only see in the mirror things we are use to seeing. So on this course I will be reflecting on my practice. How I do it. Why I do it and what things I use to do it. Like Web 2.0, books, networking, curriculum and other people. This shoukd help me to get a better grasp if myself. With no wrong answers but more deeper questions. As I look to become more profession teaching and being and illustrator/graphic designer.

Thoughts on beginnings.

Beginning as I mean to go on. Trying to begin a blog to start off well and early. When I think about beginnings I find them a very lose and abstract thing. It seems straight forward at first. But requires many other things outside of just the word "begin." It needs motivation, drive and direction. Many people respond apprehensive to beginnings as all people are wires differently. And the beginning of something is never the core of What something is. But people say first impressions count. They do but they do not last. As the relationship to the thing from the beginning grows in depth. I see beginnings as an analysis period to see briefly what things are. Just like meeting new people. It is a time for many questions and showing the ins and outs of a subject. But doing it justice in the long run to find out more. Once something has fully started the apprehension goes and you can engage in the subject completely or more purposely. Once you have found a drive to engage.
